Against the backdrop of Scottish Housing Day, SFHA marked its 49th Annual General Meeting with a focus on a theme that resonates with us all: creating homes for life.

The meeting featured a keynote presentation from Nicola McEwen, Professor of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Glasgow, who brought her extensive knowledge of devolution and inter-institutional relations to the discussion.

The virtual event, held on Wednesday 18 September, also highlighted how SFHA supported its members during 2023/24.

Notable achievements included:

  • Launching the “It’s Your Life’s Opportunities” report at Westminster, showcasing how members are helping tenants navigate the cost-of-living crisis.
  • Rolling out the “Housing at Scotland’s Heart” campaign, which shines a light on the everyday work of housing associations and co-operatives.
  • Distributing around £8 million of Scottish Government funding to help members support tenants in need.
  • Helping to improve the Net Zero Heat Fund.
