This year's Scottish Housing Day focused on the importance of accessible housing and supporting people to live well in their homes.
To mark the occasion, staff from SFHA attended the University of Stirling's Dementia Services Development Centre, where the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland and partners launched a new report on the theme of ‘homes for life’.
Informed by feedback from members of the public, and the housing sector, the report focuses on the importance of housing in supporting people to live well throughout their lives as their needs and priorities change.
Moreover, it included recommendations for both the Scottish Government and the housing sector to help ensure that there are a range of housing options available to meet different needs within mainstream housing, but that specialist housing is also available for people who need additional support.
