SFHA is delighted to announce that its Routes to Housing project will sponsor the Apprentice of the Year award at the CIH awards in November.

The project looks to inspire young individuals to pursue careers in the housing sector and view housing as a career destination of choice. It also promotes the importance of housing as a profession, spreads awareness of the various opportunities available through defined career pathways within the sector, addresses skills shortages, and promotes staff development.

Mollie Stephen, lead of the Routes to Housing project said: “Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to offer young professionals the opportunity to develop skills and contribute meaningfully to the business. I'm therefore delighted that Routes to Housing will be celebrating apprentices and sponsoring the CIH ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award.

"Having left school not knowing what I wanted to do and unaware of the various routes into the world of work I feel it is vital that we showcase these opportunities to young people.”

SFHA look forward to celebrating all of Scottish housing's achievements at this year's CIH awards in November.
