Alongside the development of the Social Housing Net Zero Standard (SHNZS) the Scottish Government is also consulting on a new Heat in Buildings (HiBs) Bill. This Bill aims to introduce new laws around energy efficiency and clean heat requirements for other housing tenures.

This online roundtable will provide a platform for members to discuss the proposals and feed into SFHA's response to the consultation.

In particular, the session will focus on the areas of alignment and differences between the SHNZS and Heat in Buildings proposals - including proposals for shared clean heating backstops and deadlines for meeting minimum energy efficiency levels.
