Life is hard now: The Winter Hardship Fund and its impact on Scotland’s social housing tenants
A new report from SFHA published today outlines the impact of funding received from the Winter Hardship Fund, a £2.4 million Scottish Government fund from which SFHA were awarded £1 million to ensure social landlords could respond to the extreme challenges their tenants were facing. The Fund meant that tenants could be supported with a dignified, cash-first approach. SFHA was able to award funds to 53 projects across the whole of Scotland, enabling housing associations to provide direct cash payments, vouchers, food provision and welfare rights advice to their tenants.
