HACT and Shelter Scotland are running a research project into the social impact of new housing for tenants in Scotland until 2024.

Earlier this year, the year 1 report was launched taking data from 13 participant social housing organisations, however HACT would love to recruit new participants to be involved in this research project for year 2 and 3.

All that is required is for each organisation to carry out a short survey prior to a new tenancy and a follow up survey some weeks later.

The project is free to participate in and may involve survey work, case studies and focus groups depending on how involved you would like to get. HACT will provide any training and resources to help understand issues such as impact on health and wellbeing and to understand if this varies in relation to gender, ethnicity, age or Geography, and gives your organisation an opportunity to be involved in a project that can help change policy at a national level.

Benefits of getting involved

  • Participation in a national Social Value research project.
  • Generating insights into the impact your tenancies and services generate.
  • Training and support in Social Value research methods.
  • Ability to demonstrate social impact to key stakeholders.
  • Access to all project resources and data collection tools.
  • Gain valuable tenant experience feedback.

Any organisation can join in as long as you are an RSL or a Council based in Scotland.

If you would be interested in being involved – please just drop Head of Social Value, Michael Mclaughlin a note on Michael.mclaughlin@hact.org.uk and we can get you involved pretty much straight away!
