Lovell has announced that it has joined the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations as a sector associate.
Lovell is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Morgan Sindall Group. This provides strength, stability, and cross-sector expertise and offers a level of financial resilience that 'enables it to find solutions where others see problems'.
Lovell has 858 employees building new homes, assisted living accommodation, enhancing the public realm, acquiring and developing land, contracting, and refurbishing homes. It works with local authorities, housing associations, the MOD and other valued partners throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
Lovell knows its clients are different, and each project has a unique need; it can offer a wide range of joint venture models.
Lovell provides partners with a full range of services, from finding land to building new homes. Its regional offices allow Lovell to respond to local needs flexibly and responsively. As a result, it finds solutions to problems and has the expertise and capacity to resolve complex and challenging issues.
Lovell delivered the first partnership housing project in the UK that utilised a combination of market housing and new build contracting over 50 years ago. Since then, it has been at the forefront of providing multi tenure housing projects, including the UK's first tenure-blind regeneration project.
Lovell has also delivered award-winning urban regeneration schemes throughout the UK. These have been completed in partnership with local authorities and housing associations but, most importantly, with communities.
Lovell understands that regeneration is about people. It works with the community affected by any building work to ensure they are safe, looked after, and provides regular communication. It provides local jobs training programmes for young people. In addition, it reaches out to wider areas such as schools and local businesses to engage them with its work.
Lovell's overall business strategy is committed to joint venture working, demonstrated by the current number of established joint ventures within Lovell and the wider Morgan Sindall Group.
To achieve this, Lovell has five guiding principles that provide the framework for measuring, reporting, and communicating its goals. The five commitments are protecting people, developing people, improving the environment, enhancing communities, and working together with its supply chain. Its driving force is an ongoing commitment to building futures, changing lives, and leaving a lasting legacy wherever it operates.
Lovell directly employs highly-skilled people at every project stage, from architects and designers to building trades and customer care teams.
Lovell takes on a wide range of trainees and apprenticeships and offers the opportunity to move within the organisation so people can progress within the company.
