SFHA is working with global leadership development organisation Common Purpose. The collaboration is part of SFHA’s Routes to Housing campaign which aims to promote the social housing sector as a career of choice.

Common Purpose designs and delivers award-winning programmes for leaders who must operate successfully across social and cultural boundaries, enabling them to solve complex problems, both at work and in society.

The Common Purpose programme provides senior leaders with an opportunity to lead change now, develop cross-boundary leadership skills that can help leaders to engage with their communities, and make connections.

Over a 12-week programme, participants unpick essential aspects of leadership by exploring them through the eyes of others.

Modules include personal agility, leading people and transforming systems.

The programme includes:

  • twelve weeks of interactive online learning (around 12 hours a month)
  • real-time workshops with experienced facilitators and contributors
  • a diverse, cross-sector, international cohort
  • locally-focused sessions, rooted in your own city or region
  • access to a mobile app which will help translate learning into your role
  • an internationally recognised CPD credit.

Who is it for?

The programme is for senior leaders who want, or need, to:

  • collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • adapt quickly to changes
  • lead diverse teams and workforces through challenges
  • create lasting change in their organisation.

Upcoming cohorts:

  • 6 October 2022
  • 8 March 2023

Costs

The cost of the programme is £2,800 (plus VAT). As part of our collaboration, we have 10 places available for SFHA members at a cost of £1,800 (plus VAT), per place.
