We hear from a rebranded Tenants Together Scotland.

Tenants Together Scotland are a national network of tenants committed to empowering the tenants of today and tomorrow, ensuring their voices are heard and influence decisions within the Scottish social housing sector, to protect tenants’ rights and make a positive difference.

Tenants Together is the new name for Regional Networks and will continue to do the work that Regional Networks did and exceeded at. We are established to enable tenants and service users to engage and work practically with the Scottish Government on the development of national housing policy.

Our Core Values

At the heart of Tenants Together are our core values:

  • Approachable: We are a network of friendly, welcoming, and likeminded tenants who are passionate about making a difference in the Scottish social housing sector.

  • Collaboration: We believe in the power of working together and true collaboration runs through our organisation.

  • Inclusivity: We promote a diverse and inclusive membership, representing a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.

  • Integrity: We are responsible and accountable for our actions, communications and decision making. We are unbiased and prioritise doing the right thing for our organisation, tenants and our members.

  • Transparent: We are transparent in our actions, communications and decision making. We foster trust, accountability and openness in everything that we do.

What We Do

Tenants Together offers opportunities for tenants and service users in the Scottish social housing sector to get involved and influence national housing policy decisions. We work closely with the Scottish Government, key decision-makers, Registered Social Landlords (RSLs), and local authorities to ensure tenant participation is embedded within the culture of organisations throughout the sector.

Our activities include:

  • Representation: We share a unified voice for tenants on national committees, panels, boards, taskforces, and at ministerial meetings.

  • Partnerships: We work in partnership with the Scottish Government and other key decision-makers to ensure the interests of tenants and service users are at the heart of policy development.

  • Engagement: We engage directly with the Scottish Housing Regulator on issues of key importance to tenants and service users in relation to the regulation of social landlords.

  • Promotion: We promote the work that we do at local and national events and conferences.

  • Discussion: We come together to review information and discuss some of the biggest challenges facing the sector.
