Changeworks and Cairn Housing Association, a large nationwide housing association, have a long-standing partnership.
Working hand in hand, Cairn and Changeworks have delivered great outcomes for Cairn tenants. Changeworks carried out analysis of Cairn’s housing stock and its compliance with the important Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing Two (EESSH2) standard, and developed and delivered fabric improvements and low carbon heating systems.
Changeworks also provides support in tenant engagement, providing energy advice to tenants and supporting them through the install process, and our dedicated monitoring and evaluation team measured the impact the demonstrate the great outcomes for EESSH2, tenant experience and fuel poverty.
Cairn’s commitment to fabric-first and demand reduction approaches ties in perfectly with Changeworks’ goals and strategy, making this a strong partnership.
Simon Campbell, Property Investment Coordinator said: “Working with Changeworks has been incredibly beneficial to us as an organisation. It’s enabled us to resource applications to the net zero carbon reduction fund, and access NHS third sector funding opportunities, which will allow us to engage with tenants in hard to heat homes to improve their heating situation. Our relationship has also allowed us to upskill our team on current energy issues and better understand the carbon reduction agenda.”
