The kinds of support we would be looking to point people in the direction of would include:
- Peer support in the form of one-to-one discussions with other individuals/organisations
- Individuals/organisations with experience of regulatory engagement/intervention that they would be willing to share with other SFHA members
- People with experience of serving as co-optees/statutory appointees that would potentially be interested in serving as a co-optee on another RSL board
- Third party consultants who can offer support for a fee (if this is something that is requested)
This list will not be made public and will not be shared with the Scottish Housing Regulator. It will be a list held only by SFHA and we will only share names with another member if that person on the list is happy for us to do so.
Once the list is established, should we be contacted by an SFHA member who is also a member of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations (GWSF) and that member has contacted both member bodies seeking support, we may (with that member’s permission) discuss the best support to offer with GWSF. As GWSF will be keeping a similar list, we are keen to ensure that any support we offer under such circumstances is consistent and as beneficial as possible.
If you would be interested in volunteering to be a part of the SFHA Peer Support List, please get in touch with Alan Stokes, Policy Lead. If you could also outline the kind of support you would be potentially interested in offering that would be much appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you.
