WSHA says a fond farewell to long-standing tenant board member

After two decades on the board of West of Scotland Housing Association, Clare Newton is retiring. Ms Newton has been a key part of WSHA’s board, and she was the first tenant member when she joined in 2000. She is committed to having tenant’s voices at the heart of decision making and she was integral in encouraging increased tenant representation.

Ms Newton is well-known and respected in the social housing sector in Scotland and had board member roles within Tollcross Housing Association and EVH.

Clare has been a valued board member and had a clear impact in ensuring the views of tenants were at the heart of decision making and service delivery. She will be missed by staff, tenants, and her fellow board members. We wish her the very best for her future and look forward to keeping in touch with her through her continued membership of WSHA.”
