As the housing sector continues to face major challenges, developing a talented workforce has never been more important. For the last 12 months, a call to action from a new and innovative partnership has been making a difference to the sector’s talent pool in Scotland as the World of Housing campaign gains significant traction in social housing. The World of Housing needs you and your organisation to be involved in future proofing the housing sector in Scotland.

The World of Housing is a three-year campaign aimed at attracting, developing and retaining talent to future proof the housing sector. A collaboration between the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA), Wheatley Group and the GEM Programme, launched in September last year, saw seven of your CEO colleagues presenting 12 delegates in the 2022, and we would like to warmly invite you to join us in 2023 and add your leadership to the campaign.

Recruitment for the next GEM Programme, which starts 30/31 January 2023, is now underway and there are two entry points to the programme. The first is for external, new graduate GEMs and the second is for upcoming, internal colleagues already working in your organisation, called GEM Talent in House. The latter is accessible to both graduate and graduate level talent working in your organisation. Please note, there is still time for both internal and external GEM recruitment, and fees for 2023 are being held at 2022 levels.
