EKHA has started on site with its new flagship development at The Murray, East Kilbride.

The £7.5 million development will provide much-needed one, two and three-bedroom apartments, three of which are suitable for wheelchair users. Built in a U shape, around a south-facing courtyard, the properties will be heated with an environmentally friendly air source heat pump system. No gas boilers will be used in the project.

The 49-unit project will be delivered by Wilson Developments of Motherwell. The Scottish Government has invested over £ 3.7 million of grant funding in the project.

Maureen Watson, EKHA Chair, said: “We are delighted to have commenced on site with our largest development to date. The project will provide more much-needed social housing, and the air source heat pumps will result in lower heating bills for our tenants.”
