Fire safety organisation Ventro has announced that it has become an SFHA sector associate.
Ventro offers building owners across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland a full range of fire safety services from consultation, surveying, and auditing to installation and ongoing maintenance.
The one-of-a-kind three-step approach incorporates a wide range of disciplines, from compartmentation works like fire doors and fire stopping to fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting. This integrated approach to fire safety ensures complete audit trails for building owners and promotes the 'golden thread of information principles' outlined in the Hackitt Report.
As the public sector accounts for the majority of Ventro's client base, Ventro has been awarded positions on several public sector frameworks to organisations with pre-tendered schedules of rates to satisfy the value for money requirement and procurement regulations, as per OJEU and Cabinet Office Procurement Policy Notes. Assuring that urgent fire safety works can be completed without delay while adhering to procurement law and ensuring that the procurement is fully compliant.
With over 1,000 sites in operation across the country and over 70,987 sites completed to date, its national infrastructure provides the logistics and localised support required to deliver projects across the UK.
Ventro promotes locally sourced products in the areas it works in across the UK. It partners with local businesses and branches to reduce its carbon footprint and promote local work practises. Furthermore, Ventro creates local job opportunities where there are longer programmes of planned work, bringing broader benefits to the communities where work is done.
Ventro has grown more than 350% since its inception and continues to expand rapidly, becoming one of the sector's and the UK's prominent voices. Ventro's webinars have been honoured to host regulators, legislative advisors, and other leading voices in recent years, including the Ministry of Housing, Communities and the Local Government; the Health and Safety Executive; Working Group 8; the Building Safety Alliance, the Building a Safer Future Charter and many others. Ventro is a dedicated supporter of knowledge sharing and promotion in the industry and has hosted several events focused on the new Building Safety Bill, which have been highly praised by Building Safety Managers and others in attendance.
Josh Furse, Ventro Client Relations Director, said: “I’m delighted that Ventro have become a sector associate of SFHA. Ventro has a positive track record of working closely with housing organisations and co-operatives right across Scotland, so this is an excellent partnership as the SFHA is the most established and well known such member-based organisations in Scotland.
"Ventro’s own knowledge sharing fire safety webinars and events will complement this partnership, and we are very much looking forward exhibiting at the SFHA Annual Conference later this year and meeting up with SFHA members to discuss their fire safety priorities for this financial year.”
