What will you be discussing during the conference and why is it an important issue?

I will be discussing the importance of funding to help improve and influence the services we are able to offer to our tenants and other residents, as well as in ensuring these services are tailored to meet their needs.

What does a successful community investment strategy look like to you?

A successful community investment strategy should help improve lives of individuals and strengthen communities by working alongside tenants, residents and local partners. Together we can create and support long term sustainable communities, improving opportunities and prospects and providing inspiration and support to enable communities to fulfil their potential by improving services and giving people the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

What impact can funding have on tenants’ experience?

Funding can make a huge difference to tenants, whether it be as simple as a top up voucher for power or, at the opposite end of the spectrum, to carry out a major adaptation to a property. The fact you are able to offer that assistance and meet the needs of the tenant at that particular point in their life, can really help to make their journey that bit better.
