Sally Thomas to deliver speech celebrating Social Housing Partnership Fund as Cycling Scotland marks its 20th anniversary.
SFHA Chief Executive Sally Thomas will underline the importance the social housing sector plays in active travel in a speech at Cycling Scotland's annual conference.
The conference is taking place in Edinburgh on Thursday 26 October and marks Cycling Scotland's 20th anniversary.
A significant number of social landlords have already benefited from the SFHA's partnership with Cycling Scotland via the Social Housing Partnership Fund which provides funding to housing associations to improve walking and cycling facilities for the benefit of residents.
Since the scheme was launched in 2019, social landlords have been awarded over £2.5 million with many associations implementing cycle storage solutions such as bike shelters to promote active travel.
Given that social homes are among the most energy-efficient in Scotland, Sally is also set to highlight how the sector is leading the way in the country's transition to net-zero.
