Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011: Code of conduct for Property Factors

Following the draft version produced in January 2021, the Scottish Government has now published a revised version of the Code of Conduct for Property Factors which will apply from 16 August 2021. 

The revised code replaces the previous version published in 2012 and applies to all 'property factors' as defined by section 2(1)(a)-(d) of the 2011 Act who are entered on the Register under section 1 of the 2011 Act. All registered property factors are legally required to comply with the code which provides overarching standards of practice and is part of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011.
