Project Liberty is a digital telecare solution from Communicare247 that can enable individuals with complex care needs to live more independently and integrated within the community.
The solution incorporates consumer devices such as voice-activated speakers, smart phones and other smart wearables, sensors and location technologies. Furthermore, it collects data through a novel monitoring system that can integrate with existing telecare home care alarms.
Project Liberty is part of Glasgow City Council’s 'Technology enabled Glasgow' challenge and funded through the 'Can Do Innovation Challenge Fund'. The project is led by Communicare247 with partners and stakeholders, including the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership and the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE).
In 2018, the ALLIANCE carried out engagement for phase 1 of the project. It is now, once again, looking for participants to test and help iterate this solution through their feedback. For more information, please visit the ALLIANCE website or get in touch with Carmen Paputa-Dutu at DHCscot@alliance-scotland.org.uk.
