Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is pleased to announce its ongoing support for the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA), as it further develops its relationship as a Sector Associate. This step reinforces Panasonic’s dedication to promoting more energy-efficient homes throughout Scotland.

Paul Taylor, Head of Renewables for Panasonic, commented, “Panasonic is delighted to deepen our relationship with the SFHA as a Sector Associate, and we are eager to reinforce our full and active role within the organisation. We are excited to collaborate and share our expertise with SFHA members. We want to drive awareness of the importance of renewable heating systems to the wider Scottish community. We look forward to strengthening our existing relationships and cultivating new ones within the Scottish social housing sector.”

With the recent energy crisis creating fuel poverty for many, ensuring an affordable and sustainable future is vital, particularly for residents living in older housing stock and multi-dwelling properties. Panasonic is already working with several housing associations across the UK to replace heating systems in their housing stock by installing energy-efficient and reliable heat pumps. Recent collaborations with leading social housing providers, colleges, and installers have highlighted the large-scale developments Panasonic is making to meet the changing building needs.

Aquarea M Series

Panasonic’s newest range of Aquarea M series heat pumps is particularly suitable for retrofit projects including residential, multi-occupancy and light commercial applications, with capacities available in 9, 12 and 16kW for residential applications and capacities from 20, 25 and 30kW with the option of 300kW when operated in cascade for light commercial applications. This latest model is designed to offer improved energy performance and utilises R290, a more natural refrigerant that boasts a GWP of 3. The units have been designed with convenience in mind, with a flexible and easier install, and space-saving compact design for homes with limited indoor space. Not only does the M Series deliver exceptional performance, but it also does so with minimal noise, ensuring maximum comfort.

With Aquarea T-CAP technology these Panasonic heat pumps can work in outdoor temperatures as low as -15°C and maintain capacity without backup heater. One T-CAP unit can provide the same capacity at low temperatures as two other units without T-CAP technology, reducing the cost of materials and installation, and saving space.

These latest hydronic solutions show market-leading SCOP, SEER and DHW COP figures, have flow temperatures of up to 75OC and a top class ErP for heating.

ECOi-W air-to-water Reversible Heat Pump

Panasonic’s new ECOi-W air-to-water reversible heat pump, which also utilises R290, is suitable for larger multi-occupancy properties such as high-rise apartment blocks. This system offers a cost-effective solution to some of the technical challenges faced by installers and specifiers, where higher temperatures are required to maintain sufficient performance. Panasonic’s award-winning range can match traditional gas boilers’ outputs and connect to the internal infrastructure, such as the existing pipework and radiators.

In Summary

Panasonic’s wide range of heating & cooling products allows specifiers and installers to select the most appropriate unit for each building, regardless of size. Panasonic heat pumps are built to deliver seasonal energy efficiency and are renowned for their reliable and quiet operation.

Panasonic has been in the heating and cooling industry for over 60 years and is a key innovator in the renewable heat pump sector, with its first heat pump developed in 1973.
