National Good Practice Awards 2025: just under two weeks left to apply

There are now just under two weeks left to apply for TPAS Scotland’s 2025 National Good Practice Awards.

There are now just under two weeks left to apply for TPAS Scotland’s 2025 National Good Practice Awards. The annual awards celebrate outstanding achievements in tenant participation and engagement by individual tenants, tenant groups and social landlords.

There are 10 award categories, and they are free to enter and open to TPAS Scotland members and non-members. The awards are open to tenants, residents, registered social landlords and local authorities. There are five awards for tenants and tenant/community groups and five for landlords. The categories are as follows:

  • Good practice in involving tenants to shape and improve services award – landlord award
  • Community involvement award – tenant/community group award
  • Good practice in widening participation award – landlord award
  • Youth involvement award – tenant/community group award
  • Good practice in communicating with tenants and residents award – landlord award
  • Tenant group of the year award – tenant award
  • Good practice in involving tenants in a current issue award – landlord award
  • Community environmental award – tenant/community group award
  • Tenant voice award – landlord award
  • Tenant of the year – Alan Ferguson award – tenant award

Jaqueline Norwood, TPAS Scotland Executive Director, said: “Our National Good Practice Awards allow us to highlight the best tenant participation and engagement work that’s taking place in Scotland’s social housing sector. The awards always attract very strong entries, and we’re looking forward to receiving this year’s submissions.

The National Good Practice Awards close at 17:00 on 7 May. Applicants should apply via this link. Full guidance on how to apply and the award criteria can be found in the awards’ application guidance on TPAS Scotland’s website.

The awards will be presented to winners by comedian Fred MacAulay during a celebratory dinner and ceremony on 20 June at the Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank, as part of the programme for TPAS Scotland’s three-day annual conference. Taking place from 20–22 June, the event will also see the organisation celebrating its 45th anniversary.
