This week saw a series of visits from members of the Scottish and UK Parliament to SFHA members across Scotland.

Labour’s newest MP, Michael Shanks, toured West Whitlawburn’s innovative district heating system and heard how the housing co-operative were supporting tenants through the cost of living crisis. Martin Docherty-Hughes MP (SNP) visited Cordale Housing Association and Knowes Housing Association, discussing how they can better work together for the benefit of the area, and some of the national issues which are affecting housing associations and their tenants.

Michael Marra MSP, Scottish Labour’s Finance spokesperson, spoke to members of the management team and board of Angus Housing Association, meanwhile Gavin Newlands MP (SNP) is set to visit Loretto Housing.

This week's visits help shine a light on pressing concerns within Scotland's housing sector, if you'd like SFHA to help facilitate MP/MSP visits, get in touch with the team at communications@sfha.co.uk
