Following on from our recent discussions at the July Housing Management Forum, SFHA will organise a review group to consider the Model Scottish Secure Tenancy Agreement and exchange ideas on what adaptations and specifications make the agreement more effective for modern use.

Members discussed the challenges in applying and enforcing some clauses of the Model SST agreement, which was last updated by Scottish Government in 2019, and an interest in sharing the various adaptations, edits, and/or addition of distinctive clauses that make it more fit for purpose to individual organisational use. For example, reviewing the clauses on pet ownership, antisocial behaviour and respecting others, holiday lets/tenancy fraud, and parking were listed as potential areas to review amongst members.

Please email apidgeon@sfha.co.uk to volunteer for the review group, which will aim to meet in August/September. Thank you!
