Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights Patrick Harvie will address delegates at SFHA's Energy Conference on 21 September. This is one of the first chances to hear from Mr Harvie in his new ministerial role.
The Zero Emissions Social Housing Taskforce (ZEST) was initiated earlier this year and tasked with looking at the opportunities, barriers and solutions required for the social housing sector to maximise its contribution to the Scottish Government’s ambitious climate change targets. Mr Harvie will take part in a session looking at the taskforce's key recommendations and discuss the next steps. Joining him to discuss the findings are ZEST's co-chairs, SFHA Chief Executive Sally Thomas and Aubrey Fawcett, recently retired Chief Executive of Inverclyde Council, and Jon Turner, CEO of Link Group.
Here's a look at our other session highlights:
- supporting individuals and communities as part of a just transition
- identifying the appropriate technical solutions
- sourcing funding and maximising investment
Benefits of attending:
- discover practical solutions and approaches to tackling key challenges
- hear from industry experts with experience in energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies
