Age Scotland and Stirling University launched its research report this week – Making Adaptation Work for Older People. The report adds to the growing body of evidence on housing and ageing from the perspective of older people themselves.
Helping older people to live independently is a key focus on Housing to 2040 and in Health and Social Care and the report highlights the steps needed to make progress. It highlights the key role of adaptations that enable people to live independently at home and the complexity of a system that enables people to access support in this area.
It is essential reading for the RSLs and their partners, endorsing our previous work on Inclusive Living.
