At Changeworks, we know that housing associations are concerned about how to tackle the daunting task of meeting EESSH2 en route to achieving Net Zero. That’s why, at the upcoming SFHA Energy Conference, our experts will take you through how to develop an achievable and impactful strategy to get there.

Stephen Strachan, Principal Consultant (Net Zero Pathways), and Euan Lochhead, Senior Consultant (Energy Efficient Retrofit) will be on hand to talk you through the steps and how we can support you.

We know that funding capital works and retrofit is a concern, but there is a wealth of funding options available that we can help you access. Through alternative and innovative funding models, you can make the big changes you need without necessarily having to shoulder the full capital cost and being able to incorporate retrofit into existing works plans. At the session you’ll hear more about some of these models, and how we can help make them a reality for you.

Stephen and Euan will also discuss the importance of preparatory work to fully understand your housing stock and creating a tailored long-term plan. Having a long-term retrofit strategy is the best way to achieve the necessary levels of energy efficiency without costly mistakes and losing sight of the end goal with short-term work.

Changeworks has over 35 years of experience in engaging people in low carbon projects, so we’ll also be sharing our expertise in getting your tenants fully engaged in the works that are happening to their property. We provide information on the planned works ahead of time and offer support on what they can do to get the most out of the new measures to ensure that tenants feel informed and reassured.

Stephen said: “We’re really looking forward to meeting staff from housing associations across the country at the conference. Our Net Zero Pathways programme can support you at every step of the way in reaching your ambitious targets.

“With our expertise in research, evaluation and analysis, tenant engagement, funding support and project managing capital works, we have the skills and expertise you need to create truly low carbon homes.”
