Hebridean Housing Partnership staff raise funds to support local charities
Annually, HHP staff fundraise in order to donate money to charity at the end of the year.
Annually, HHP staff fundraise in order to donate money to charity at the end of the year. This year’s chosen charities were Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative (WICCI) and Bethesda Hospice. Representatives from each organisation came into the office on Friday 13 December 2024 and were each presented with a cheque of £500.
Caroline MacIver from WICCI thanked HHP saying that every penny will go to helping individuals who are going through their cancer journey. Bethesda representative, Joanne said: “Once again, I would like to thank you all for this generous donation and it was lovely to meet you all on Friday
Last week on Wednesday 11 December 2024 we were able to present two more AGM cheques. Fiona and HHP Board Member Gary Lamont presented The Eilidh Macleod Memorial Trust and Cobhair Bharraigh with their donation of £1,000 each.
On behalf of The Eilidh MacLeod Memorial Trust, Roddy talked about how the money will help their charity: “I would like say again how grateful we are for your donation to Eilidhs Trust. The donation will really help us as we will very soon be asking for applicants to be recipient's for our next round of 2025 donations. It was very appropriate that it was presented at a community event for all ages where so many of our young people have so much fun showing off their hard work, learning and practicing their talents. Our aim is to support young musicians in memory of Eilidh and we can only do this with the support we receive from so many.
“Our funding round in 2024 supported 2000 young musicians from all over Scotland, paying out over £43,000 to over 50 groups or individuals. We hope to better that fantastic achievement in 2025.”

Hebridean Housing Partnership to be a receive a cheque for £1000. The funding will go towards external maintenance for our building, which, given the weather conditions currently being experienced this winter, will be necessary over the next few months. Many thanks for your generosity."
