First Minister gives Covid briefing

With cases of the Covid Omicron variant rising across Scotland, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon held a briefing today.

The Scottish Government’s guidance on staff working from home, where possible, remains unchanged.

The government has advised that employers should consider deferring Christmas parties and that people should take a lateral flow test every time they intend to mix with people beyond their own household.

SFHA understands that the Scottish Government is asking social landlords to continue to make their own risk-based decisions, and it is expected that repair work, maintenance and wider essential services that need to be conducted face to face will remain operating as they have been and in line with the existing guidance for the sector.

Social landlords should refer to the Social Housing Resilience Group’s Guide to Managing Services for guidance. Please note, the guide has not been updated since Scotland moved beyond level 0 in August.
