The Eildon Group has announced the appointment of experienced retired housing professional Cathie Fancy as its new Chair.

Cathie Fancy takes up the role from Dave Alexander who stepped down after nine years on the Eildon Board. She retired from a career in housing in 2018, having worked in a range of senior posts in both the university sector and local government.

She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role that will enable her to work with fellow Board Members, staff, and partner organisations to steer through the delivery of Eildon’s new growth strategy launched in April.

Cathie Fancy commented: “I am really pleased to have been appointed Chair by my fellow Board Members. It is clear that there are many challenges facing the people and communities we serve, and we believe that, working with our staff and our partners, we can make a significant and lasting difference through the implementation of our new strategy as an ambitious, growing housing and care organisation.

“I am also honoured that I will be in the Chair when Eildon celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2023, when we will reflect on the progress that has been made over the period and commit to continue to serve our communities into the future.”
