About the training

The session will cover:

  • What is the defined role of housing staff in supporting and protecting hoarders, neighbours and properties.
    • Including how a trauma-informed response can help housing staff fulfill their roles more effectively
  • It will include successful examples of hoarding prevention and support networks - what has HoardingUK learned from regional partnerships in England and Wales – how housing relates and how housing staff participate in person-centered support.
  • On the day there will be time for attendees to introduce themselves and describe key features of their current hoarding cases for workshopping, input and discussion
  • The session will also help address the question of how do the existing legal structures enable and empower housing to engage with hoarders?

Training outcomes
